Falling in love with Bhive boutique hotel Iloilo

The term Bhive   is now my personal code name for happy place.

It sounds like the home of bees, where honey is created, I guess the owners of the establishment had that in mind when they were putting this “instagram-able” place together.

Cozy open air hang out place

Bhive is actually the “pleasant surprise” during my recent visit to Iloilo for a family event. I wish I could say that I found it on my own. The credit goes to my cousin, who made all the arrangements. I was too busy weeks before we left, that I actually told my cousin to take charge. I will fly their chosen date and stay in their chosen hotel. I will forever thank them for choosing Bhive.

The front desk has lowered surface areas so guests can comfortably sign and fill up forms.

Located in Taft North Mandurriao, Bhive is a charming Iloilo boutique hotel that captivated my jaded city dweller heart. It was a like entering a country home warmly welcomed by a close friend. The unpainted cement walls, wood palette benches and iron trellis easily spell a rustic homey feel.

The bedroom is amazingly basic and simple.

I found it interesting that the front desk had lowered writing surfaces so that guests can conveniently fill up the forms. The vibe was so amazing, I couldn’t wait to get the keys to the room.

Wall mnounted tables and box decor on upainted cement walls.

From the front desk, guests are led to an atrium with fake green grass, colored kiddie chairs and wooden benches.  I guess this serves as the hang out place for since Benito Café occupies the entire lobby. The metal stairway leads to the roof top bar.

The rooftop bar, my favourite place.

The rooms are exceptionally spacious. Budget conscious groups can actually pile up in one. There is a receiving room with a wooden bench, mini table with stools, ref and a colorful coffee and tea counter.  It has open closet for clothes, storage space for the bags, dressing mirror plus adorable details like wall boxes, plank shelf to camouflage the hidden stairway and a wooden planter box. Instead of the typical framed wall decor the design details were mounted directly on the unpainted cement.

Charming wooden details: bench, plant box, narrow shelf and wall decor

The minimalist look continues to the sleeping area. Wooden bed boxes, panel head boards and lots of mini tables. I love the conscious effort to keep everything small in order to save space. Believe or not, the bathroom is almost as big as the sleeping area. It even has a picture window with a small garden.

Bhive boutique hotel Iloilo is perfect for selfie loving guests. Iloilo visitors will never run out of photos. For party nights, head for B’ Code at the roof deck which opens at 5pm.

Bhive is your cozy home in Iloilo

If you prefer a unique type of accommodation, Bhive boutique hotel Iloilo will not put you down. It’s a short walk away from huge MegaWorld leisure and business park. It is also a few minutes away from Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral and SM City.
