Chill out at Brewing Point
I remember going to Brewing Point when Congressional Ave. extension was not yet open. I would pass through Quirino avenue and enter Tierra Pura. Back then it was just a small place, but the food has always known for its home cooked goodness. Now it is one of the high-rise establishments in Congressional. Ave. with a dance studio and a rooftop venue for events. Brewing Point Neighborhood café, is a favorite hang-out in the area. It is packed especially on weekends with families coming in for lunch dinner, or friends catching –up while enjoying the free wifi.
Alfredo’s is still charming as ever!
Step inside Alfredo’s restaurant and go straight into a classic western movie scene. Guests are greeted by a saloon fire place, with a rustic wooden staircase leading to the dining area. Baby boomers would certainly remember Alfredo’s as the most popular restaurant during the ‘70s. Frequented by steak lovers who are willing the pay the price for quality food, the restaurant opened in 1968, and has certainly managed to stand the test of time. Alfredo’s is still charming as ever. The friendly servers in cowboy outfits are always ready for your every need.
